Medicare / MBS
Fee schedule change alert: No change detected.
Current chronic condition management rebates (individual service, minimum 20 minutes):
Podiatry, item 10962: rebate $61.80.
Physiotherapy, item 10960: rebate $61.80.
Exercise physiology, item 10953: rebate $61.80.
Chiropractic, item 10964: rebate $61.80.
Each item lists a schedule fee of $72.65, with the Medicare benefit at 85 percent, which is $61.80.
Exercise physiology group services: item 81110, the initial individual assessment for group services, currently lists a $93.25 schedule fee and a $79.30 benefit.
The July 2026 MBS files are published. The item map and descriptor files were marked updated on 28 May 2026, and the July 2026 News confirms changes take effect 1 July 2026. These are admin and policy changes, including responses to the MBS Review Taskforce and MSAC. We have not identified a podiatry, physio or exercise physiology specific fee change in the summary so far. Services Australia
The chronic condition allied health billing rules page is the current reference for claiming CDM and group allied health items. No fee increase or new allied health rebate applies at this time.
DVA
Podiatry and physiotherapy fee PDFs are effective 1 January 2026. The exercise physiology provider guidance is compliance-focused: referral cycles, clinical necessity, evidence-based treatment, and checking the schedule before treating. Always confirm the current Schedule of Fees before treatment.
NDIS
The most recent PAPL update took effect 24 November 2025. No newer allied health price-limit change applies.
WorkCover / WorkSafe, state by state
QLD: Allied health tables are the 1 August 2025 tables for the 2025 to 2026 financial year.
NSW: SIRA’s orders are effective 1 February 2026, indexed up to 4.57%, covering physiotherapy and accredited exercise physiology.
VIC: WorkSafe podiatry, physiotherapy and exercise physiology schedules are current.
SA, WA, TAS, ACT, NT: No allied health specific schedule change. ACT and Tasmania do not prescribe fee schedules for health providers; cover is arranged through private insurers.
