Where every schedule sits right now
DVA
In force: schedules effective 1 July 2026, across 21 disciplines. Checked: 15 September 2026.
The fee schedules page carries a notice saying its documents are being updated. Nothing has actually changed — keep billing the 1 July 2026 figures. Bigger changes land 1 July 2027 and consultation on them closes 30 October 2026.
Medicare / MBS
In force: 1 July 2026 indexation. Schedule fee $74.55, benefit $63.40 for the standard chronic condition management items. Checked: 15 September 2026.
Applies to podiatry 10962, physiotherapy 10960, exercise physiology 10953 and chiropractic 10964. No change since July.
NDIS
In force: NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, effective 1 July 2026. Podiatry $188.99/hr, physiotherapy $183.99/hr, exercise physiology $161.99/hr. Checked: 15 September 2026.
The Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits document no longer exists for this year. The figures are now framed as NDIA guidance rather than binding price limits.
WorkCover and state schemes
In force: varies by jurisdiction. QLD, VIC and SA changed 1 July 2026. NSW commenced 1 February 2026. WA has applied 3.96% since 1 November 2025. TAS, ACT and NT prescribe nothing. Checked: 15 September 2026.
Podiatry has no schedule in NSW, SA or WA.
Dates worth diarising
30 October 2026 — DVA consultation on the 2027 allied health changes closes.
Mid-October 2026 — WA typically gazettes its new fees order for a 1 November start.
1 November 2026 — WorkSafe Victoria's Early Intervention Physiotherapy Framework registration extension expires.
1 July 2027 — DVA's new allied health arrangements begin.
What changed recently
15 September 2026. Full verification pass across all payers. Three corrections to this page: NDIS figures are guidance under the new Pricing Schedule rather than price limits under the old PAPL; an outdated NDIS plan-indexation reference dating from 2024 has been removed; and the NSW podiatry position has been corrected, since SIRA publishes no podiatry order and takes no published position on it. The Queensland fees URL now redirects to workcoverqld.com.au.
7 September 2026. DVA published the detail of its 2027 allied health changes and opened consultation. The $5,000 figure is a review threshold, not the monetary limit earlier wording described, and the TPI, Special Rate Disability Pension and catastrophically injured exemptions were named for the first time.
2 September 2026. DVA's fee schedules page began carrying a notice that its documents are being updated.
1 July 2026. Medicare indexed 2.6%, taking the standard allied health benefit from $61.80 to $63.40. DVA, NDIS, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia all changed schedules the same day.
1 February 2026. SIRA's NSW fees orders commenced, indexed up to 4.57%.
1 November 2025. WorkCover WA applied a 3.96% increase.
