NDIS Pricing for Allied Health: Current Rates for Physio, Podiatry and EP

These are the direct service hour figures from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, effective 1 July 2026.

Provider travel is billed at half the direct service rate: $94.50 for podiatry, $92.00 for physiotherapy, $81.00 for exercise physiology.

Confirm the figure against your specific support item numbers rather than the discipline name. Podiatry, for instance, appears under both 01_663_0128_1_3 and 15_619_0128_1_3 depending on the support category.

This is the part that changed for 2026-27 and it is worth getting right.

There is no 2026-27 Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits document. The PAPL has been replaced by the NDIS Pricing Schedule, and the NDIA's framing changed with it. The schedule says it provides "guidance on appropriate prices for those supports" and sets out "what it considers to be the appropriate and reasonable maximum prices". The pricing updates page uses the same language.

So as things stand these are NDIA guidance figures, not legally binding caps. The NDIS Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026, introduced 14 May 2026, would give the Minister power to make a binding pricing determination. Until that happens, the distinction holds.

In practice you should still treat the figures as your ceiling, because that is how plan managers and self-managed participants will read them. But any change to an existing service agreement has to be agreed with the participant first regardless of what the schedule says.

The 2026-27 Pricing Schedule is price tables only. The operational rules — provider travel, cancellation policy, MMM classification, how the remote loadings work — are not in it. Those still live in the superseded 2025-26 PAPL, which the NDIA keeps linked under "Other documents and addendums".

If you are trying to work out whether you can charge a cancellation, you need the old document, not the new one.

The published remote and very remote figures work out to exactly 140% and 150% of the national rate. The Pricing Schedule itself never states this in words. The 40% and 50% loadings are stated in the 2026-27 Annual Pricing Review report and in the superseded 2025-26 PAPL.

There is no published participant plan indexation note for 2026-27. If you find a reference to plans being indexed on 13 July, check the date on it — that statement dates from 2024 and is still circulating.
